Mission Statement - The goal of Children's House Montessori School is to help each child reach their full potential of growth and learning within a safe environment. This environment should give them freedom within limits to teach them to make appropriate choices, manage their time, and work in community with others. The best interest of the child should always be at the core of our actions and decisions. The children will be treated with respect in order to develop respect for others and build their self-esteem. About Montessori and CHMS

Montessori is an individual, self-paced program that enables each child to learn at his or her own rate. This allows a child to progress as quickly, or in some cases, as slowly as needed to reach mastery.
We offer multi-age classrooms: Preschool 3-6 year olds and Elementary 6-9 year olds. The multi-age class environments give the children not only the academic challenge but also a family like social structure that teaches many needed social skills: Helping one another, nurturing, peaceful conflict resolution, sharing and working together as a community.
Children's House Montessori School allows the child choices in their learning with direction toward appropriate activities. CHMS will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, April 19st from 1:00pm - 3:00pm in the Preschool Classroom, located
at the Southeast corner of Fifth & Main Streets.
